The role of Transport Assistants involve:

• Administering the Students’ Union’s transport bookings including the management of the booking calendars and driver databases.
• Helping respond to enquiries via our customer services platform.
• Supporting the Students’ Union’s full-time team with transport maintenance including weekly inspection of the small fleet and reporting damages to the fleet.
• Opportunity to help organise and lead minibus competency tests for students to be able to access the larger vehicles as a driver (this would further increase hours).

Rate of pay: £12.21 per hour (Students’ Union level 1 rate)

Hours of work: Normal expectation between 6 and 15 hours per week.

Start Date: September 2025

Skills and experience required:

• Have a held a UK class B license for at least 1 year (essential)
